W. Marvin Rush has announced his retirement from the position of chairman of the board of Rush Enterprises, the company he founded. He will continue to serve as a member of the board of directors and have the honorary title of Chairman Emeritus. Rush founded the company in 1965.It now operates the largest network of commercial vehicle dealerships in the U.S. The company also announced the appointment of W.M. “Rusty” Rush as the company’s chairman of the board. read more

Charleston, WV, intersection a ?nightmare? for truckers

Construction on an unfinished portion of U.S. 35 in Putnam County, WV, has created a dangerous intersection that truckers in the area say is causing a nightmare for big rigs trying to negotiate the highway. On May 10, officials had to close the Buffalo Bridge, officially known as W.Va. 869, and a four-mile section of U.S. 35 after a tractor-trailer overturned at the intersection. Within the space of a quarter-mile, drivers come off a hill into a sharp turn at the bridge and just after the span must negotiate an intersection with W.Va. 817. read more

Diesel rose for a second consecutive week, rising 2.4 cents to $3.89 a gallon, while gasoline jumped 7 cents to $3.673, the Department of Energy reported.
